Top gear told us that the Transfagarasan highway was the best road in the world. So we set out to find out the next best ones!

Transfagarasan highway

Transfagarasan highway or the DN7C runs through Romania for a stretch of 95 miles. To enjoy this bit of driving heaven, it is better to beat the sun and hit the road. Ever since Top gear gave away this secret, people from around the globe visit and many of them slow down what would be a beautiful stretch of winding road. And some go even further to stop altogether to take pictures, much to the ire of the passionate motor driver.

 

Jebel Hafeet

If you are in a mood for a short drive, make your way to the United kingdom. The jebel Hafeet is a road less travelled. You can enjoy the 7 miles of this mountain road with no care in the world.

 

Pikes peak

In the heart of North America lies the most coveted road in the world. To the motor enthusiast it requires no introductions. The hill climb is a mecca for the petrol heads. The pikes peak has claimed seven souls so far. It is definitely not for the faint hearted. Over the years it has progressed with time, tarmac replacing much of the dirt road. When this pass is not closed for racing events it is open to the general public, for the racer in you.

 

Argyll Coastal Route

If you prefer just wafting around, the Argyll coastal offers 130 miles of pure driving pleasure. The scenery is unbeatable by any other drive around the world. This road is perfect to the point, the UK weather bears no weight on it. Sunshine or rain, it promises absolute joy to drive.
